Our client, Inspirica, is seeking a Director of Development to lead and manage their fundraising and advancement efforts. This includes annual and major gift fundraising, corporate and foundation gifts, donor relations, and special events. The Director of Development is a key member of Inspirica's leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO. The position is located in Stamford, CT and in the office 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and expand a comprehensive fundraising program, currently at $2.5M, including major gifts, corporate/foundation support, and special events.
Lead all fundraising initiatives, planning, budgeting, and reporting.
Develop corporate sponsorship and individual donor programs within Fairfield County.
Grow annual revenue through identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and acknowledging foundation and institutional funders.
Plan and evaluate fundraising campaigns, manage the fundraising budget, and identify prospective donors.
Recruit, train, and manage fundraising staff and volunteers; support senior management's fundraising plans.
Advise the CEO on institutional giving, donor relations, and marketing strategies.
Collaborate with marketing to promote Inspirica's mission and support fundraising efforts.
Create a detailed fundraising and communications calendar.
Lead donor research and prospecting efforts.
Implement new fundraising programs such as planned giving and board alumni programs.
Maintain positive community relations to support Inspirica's mission.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Commitment to Inspirica's mission
Minimum 5-7 years in senior fundraising roles
Proven success in nonprofit development, including campaigns and multi-channel fundraising
Established corporate/foundation contacts in Stamford/Fairfield County are a plus
Experience in project leadership, planning, and management
Entrepreneurial spirit and initiative in donor relations
Strong written and oral communication skills for fundraising and marketing
Effective influencing and collaboration skills
Skilled in relationship building and maintaining positive community relations
