The project relates to metastatic breast cancer patients, i.e. patients diagnosed with primary metastatic breast cancer or relapsed during follow up since the primary tumor diagnoses. Main focus of the project is to include patients with hormone receptor positive Her2 negative metastatic breast cancer prior to starting any treatment and then during the treatment (first line, second line) ctDNA technologies, including tumor informed technologies and WGS (ultra low and deeper sequencing) will be employed for ctDNA analyses. Clinical data collected will be treatment, start and end date, restaging results, date of progression. Research assistant will screen potential patients on weekly basis, support consenting of patients and data documentation, scientific protocol writing, enrollment of patients and adhering of blood draws to the predefined schedule. Further, plasma preparation will be performed. Participation in weekly lab meetings, training in ctDNA technologies and data analyses.
Conducts research assessments and procedures independently. Oversees operations when leadership is unavailable. Recruits and screens participants, reviews records and surveys, and maintains databases. Performs routine data analysis and prepares reports, data visualizations, and models.
Strong communication skills are required. Organizational, time keeping, and attention detail also essential.
Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
