Qualifications:
Experience Matters: You'll need a minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing risks and making informed decisions.
General liability, commercial auto & workers compensation underwriting experience preferred
Educational Background: A BA or BS degree, ideally in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting, will set you up for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the implementation of underwriting practices within a designated area, directing efforts to achieve underwriting objectives in specified business programs.
Executes sales budgets and targets for the region, including attainment of premium and loss ratio objectives, engagement in agency activities, and forecasting business growth.
Assesses and guides the underwriting of complex or sizable risks requiring advanced technical expertise in product and industry knowledge.
Supports the cultivation of productive agency relationships
