Salary Range: $29-33.50 Per Hour + up to $1,000 monthly travel per diem

Position Summary

The Materials Coordinator at Agile Sourcing Partners, Inc. works supports the receipt, inspection, staging, kitting, tracking, and shipment for materials from vendors and manufacturers in support of a construction yard for electrical transmission main materials. Accurately receives materials into the company ERP system and provides detailed status updates to the client. The Material Coordinator must have excellent technical, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinates the receipt, offloading, staging, QC inspections and dispositions, and storage all incoming material shipments in accordance with company materials receiving & handling procedures
  • Perform periodic cycle counts of inventoried materials as necessary
  • Ensure materials receipt, storage, and shipment meets quality and safety expectations as established by Agile and the Customer.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide support to equipment operators during materials movement throughout the yard.
  • Maintains paper and digital records for all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Transposes shipping and receiving information into company ERP System.
  • Ensures accurate record keeping and updating company ERP with receipts and shipments to ensure all materials status reports are accurate daily.
  • Coordinates with vendors and suppliers to expedite material receipts when required to meet the overall construction schedule.
  • Creates and manages all shipping documentation for all materials released from the yard to the client
  • Manages receiving and issuing of all materials, equipment, tools, and consumables to ensure effective, timely and accurate receipt and issue for construction.
  • Interfaces with accounting & finance departments to forward relevant documentation.
  • Assists with on-site material audits to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • Ensures all inventory is handled and stored safely, according to any requirements and engineering specifications.
  • Obtains and resolves material related questions and/or problems, directly coordinating between project manager, engineering, suppliers, fabricators, construction, project controls or other management
  • Maintains a safe and orderly yard using BMPs and best housekeeping practices.
  • Assists in the completion of project mobilization and/or demobilization effort

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members.
  • Highly motivated, results focused and act with a high sense of urgency.
  • ERP systems experience

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Education and Experience

Required education and experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years' experience working in warehouse or construction yards associated with electrical materials
  • 3-5 years' experience in shipping and receiving

Preferred education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or in a directly related discipline
  • OSHA 100 Certification
  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • Experience in the electrical construction industry
  • 3+ years of shipping/receiving experience
  • 3-5 years' experience with ERP inventory management systems (i.e. Clear Spider, SAP, Oracle)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint, Vizio)
