5+ years of accounting experience preferably within insurance accounting
Knowledge of GAAP reporting, budgeting, billing and collections, treasury management, and insurance accounting
Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Controller for one of our insurance clients. This candidate would be reporting directly to the CFO and managing a team of 4 accountants. The Controller will work closely with the CFO and oversee the organization's accounting operations including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, data analysis, treasury management, collections, payables, and related insurance accounting functions. They will be using Jet File on a daily basis and held to high-performance goals set out by the CFO.
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Ensure complete and accurate financial reporting for both regulatory and management purposes.
Communication: Prepare financial updates for the Board, Management, Regulators, and Rating Agencies
Statement Preparation: Create internal financial statements and external regulatory reports.
Treasury Management: Monitor liquidity and manage treasury functions.
Financial Analysis: Respond to external data requests and perform financial analysis.
