About the Role:



As a Closing Specialist, you will manage the compliance and fees associated with the loan process from application through closing, ensuring timeliness accuracy and completeness with all applicable loan documents to finalize the closing transaction.



The base pay for Closing Specialists is $19.23/hour, with opportunities to earn incentive pay.



Job responsibilities may encompass:



  • Compliance: Accurately complete and send required compliance disclosures within set timelines.



  • Managing a Pipeline: Manage a pipeline of loans from application through closing within required turn times and quality standards.



  • Effectively Communicating: Coordinate with loan teams and third-party vendors, promptly addressing inquiries and conveying any information that may affect timely loan closings.



  • Quality Control: Perform quality control analysis to maintain high standards. A clean file is a happy file, and happy files make happy Veterans.



  • Coordination: Work with Closing Agents to ensure accurate Closing Disclosures are sent. There are a lot of moving pieces when it comes to buying a home, and part of your job is coordinating with our internal and external partners to ensure those pieces end up where they're supposed to be.



  • Document Generation and Review: Draft closing documents and create closing packages. There may not be a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow, but there's definitely a stack of documents after every mortgage closes. You're responsible for making sure they're complete and accurate.



  • Guideline Knowledge: Stay knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes. Mortgage regulations and policies can change in the blink of an eye!



  • Versatility: Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity. We all do our best to ensure our Veterans have the most fantastic home-buying experience possible.
