Description Overview

Perrigo is hiring for a Master Trainer in our nutrition site in Wisconsin who will perform a key role in ensuring proper training and development of plant personnel in the areas of Safety, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance functions within the plant while driving continuous improvement methodologies.

Scope of the Role

  • Ensures all employees have the education, training knowledge, and experience to effectively perform their jobs by:
  • Supporting Perrigo’s compliance efforts through management of compliance training, record keeping and development of continuous improvement training materials.
  • Supporting a 24/7 work environment by assessing training needs, determining areas of development, and developing/facilitating training (development, ongoing maintenance, deployment, and support) to individuals &/or identified groups in all areas of the plant.
  • Supporting and/or conducting new hire Care Week.
  • Maintaining LMS training records, monitoring compliance, and developing periodic status reports as requested.
  • Developing and maintaining subject knowledge related to content of learning programs, class materials, participant manuals and facilitate events in a safe and fun learning environment that maximizes learning.
  • Providing feedback on the training programs to appropriate staff about areas for improvement.
  • Continuing learning and advancing knowledge of the training industry (including adult learning, instructional design, e-learning, current learning trends and available tools, etc.) to provide clients with learning leadership.
  • Ensuring corporate and departmental required training completion, documented, and filed to maintain cGMP compliance by working with subject matter experts to create/update procedures and conduct audits of cGMP training/design as required.
  • Coordinating all required training for departmental employees (including permanent, temporary, cross-training employees and new hires). Designs, updates, and develops training curricula and items such as TC’s, courses, and department specific training programs including training materials, TC’s, curriculum, and any other required materials.
  • Executing other training and development responsibilities as assigned and as required.
  • Driving engagement from front line team members for reliable data and continuous improvement mindsets
  • Organizing daily huddles to escalate issues from front line.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee development through onboarding, coaching, development, process training, and/or employee success initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Prior experience in a leadership role at any level.
  • General demonstrated soft skills including attention to detail, communication skills, critical thinking, time management, conflict resolution, and confidentiality.

Experience Preferred:

  • Food manufacturing background preferred.
  • 4 years’ experience preferred in training, instructional design, or related experience including understanding of training methodologies, curriculum development.
  • Experience in a dairy, whey or infant formula setting related to spray drying production preferred.
  • Established understanding of theoretical fundamentals of blending and spray drying infant formula/dairy products and demonstrate the use of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience with quality systems in an FDA cGMP regulated environment as well as capital project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Firsthand knowledge of production operations and associated control systems preferred.
