Physical Requirements Perform work in a sedentary position; repetitive motion such as typing; reporting to meetings at different locations both on campus and off campus; interact with individuals from various levels throughout UK HealthCare.
Shift Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week). This position is hybrid eligible.
Job Summary As a HR Staffing Specialist for UKHC Information Technology, you will be a key player in our Human Resources department, contributing to the daily functions and operations that support healthcare employees and organizational goals. You will assist with various tasks, including recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration. Responsibilities include assisting in the recruitment process, including submitting position requests, drafting job postings, and facilitating salary recommendations; supporting the onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, scheduling applicable orientations, and ensuring a smooth transition for new employees; and maintaining employee records, ensuring data accuracy in HR systems.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities We are seeking an individual with initiative, superior customer service focus, team orientation, excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to build strong working relationships, and technical experience. A successful candidate will also have HR professional knowledge, the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. Solid time management, problem solving, critical thinking, follow-through, planning, and organizational skills are all critical to success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality and diversity is a must.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Prefer a degree in Human Resources or Communications; significant work experience in human resources office with a focus on hiring processes. Experience using computer systems/applications (e.g. Applicant Tracking Systems, Microsoft Office products) highly preferred.
