Physical Requirements The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing, walking with, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; standing for greater than 5 hours at a time; walking several miles per day; and performing repetitive motions (such as typing).
Shift Primarily day shift Monday through Friday.
Job Summary The Director of Satellite Pharmacy Services is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and monitoring clinical pharmacy practice and services for OR and ICU Satellites at UK Healthcare. The Director will work with multiple service line teams to ensure signature metrics are achieved. The Director will work together with other Hospital clinicians to define and develop clinical practice as it relates to pharmacy and the improvement of patient care. The Director will collaborate with other department managers to develop and implement new clinical and operational pharmacy services and will ensure the integration of pharmaceutical care throughout the Enterprise.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Excellent communication skills (written and verbal); Leadership skills; Clinical knowledge; Knowledge of federal, state, and other pharmacy laws and regulations; Knowledge of project management; Knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; Knowledge of supply chain and contract management; Ability to prioritize; Ability to collaborate and work with a team; and ability to teach and motivate a team.

Preferred Education/Experience ASHP Residency training and/or supervisory experience highly preferred.
