Required License/Registration/Certification | Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire. |
Physical Requirements | May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds. |
Shift | Primarily dayshift with hours Monday thru Friday 8:00am-4:30pm. May include some holidays assisting locations open and schedule/days of week. Location may change based on needs of dept. |
Job Summary | Performs certified pharmacy technician job duties. Subject matter expert; Orients and trains new pharmacy technicians for UK HealthCare Retail Pharmacies; Provides direction and training to pharmacy staff to ensure compliance w/ practice standards and directives. May adjust technician schedule including scheduling necessary training. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred. |
