Physical Requirements The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects up to 50lbs; standing or walking with objects up to 10lbs; regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing); and occasional (<10% of the time) job related travel.
Shift Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm with evenings, nights, and weekends per departmental needs.
Job Summary This IT Enterprise Architect will serve as the primary point of contact for the application and integration domain. The Enterprise Architect will serves as the subject matter expert and technology leader between the project team and support operations organization. The architect’s designs will align with business blueprints, delivery constraints, enterprise business services, enterprise framework services and infrastructure standards. Participate in the creation and evolution of a technology roadmap that defines current technical architectures, future architectures, and the evolution for transition for all projects. Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods, design patterns, and tools. Lead strategic technological planning to achieve company’s goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.

The primary deliverable of the Enterprise Architect is an architecture that meets the company’s business needs and provides the most efficient and secure IT environment possible. Ensure that the business and IT are in alignment. Operate across organizational and computing “silos” to drive common approaches and to expose information assets and processes across the enterprise. Document using multiple architectural models or views that show how the current and future needs of the organization will be met.

This is a hybrid position.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Qualified candidate must be able to understand and interpret requirements: probe for information, listen to information, influence people, facilitate consensus building, synthesize and translate ideas into actionable requirements, articulate those ideas to others. Create a useful model: take the requirements and develop well-formulated models of the components of the solution, augmenting the models as necessary to fit all of the circumstances. Validate, refine, and expand the model: verify assumptions, bring in subject matter experts, etc. in order to improve the model and to further define it, adding as necessary new ideas to make the result more flexible and more tightly linked to current and expected requirements. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the techniques that go into producing designs of complex I.T. systems, including requirements discovery and analysis, formulation of solution context, identification of solution alternatives and their assessment, technology selection, and design configuration.

Preferred Education/Experience Master’s degree preferred.
