Position Summary                            

Reporting to the Chief Digital & Technology Officer, the Head of Digital Engagement & Global Marketing Platforms plays a crucial role in leading the digital transformation agenda at K-C, ensuring that K-C’s Digital Marketing & Commercial Capabilities are leveraging industry leading digital technologies and creating valuable business outcomes. Bringing in an outside-in perspective and expertise that challenges the thinking of ELT and ELT -1 leaders across “Growth” Functions and Segments in partnership with Segment CIOs & CTO. 

The role will focus on modernization and transformation of the Digital Marketing, Sales & Innovation tech stack, people capabilities, talent and sourcing strategy and fully embedding platform/product management leveraging “mature” agile delivery methodology. Combining industry expertise with digital strategies, the role will create a competitive edge for K-C. This Leader will also serve as the Digital Technology Leader partnering closely with the Chief Growth Officer and their teams to bring forward the digital marketing technology roadmap & strategy.

Role & Responsibilities     

More specifically, the Head of Digital Engagement & Global Marketing Platforms will be responsible for:

Strategic Planning and Alignment


  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and business teams to understand objectives and ensure Marketing Technology (Martech) solutions align with business goals.


  • Develop a Martech roadmap that supports sales, marketing & innovation strategies as well as customer experiences.


  • Own Enterprise Digital Growth Platform Strategy


Technology Selection and Management


  • Evaluate, select, and implement Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation tools and platforms (e.g., CRM, CMS, automation tools, analytics platforms)


  • Ensure seamless integration of various Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation solutions with existing systems.


Project Management


  • Plan, deliver, and manage Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation projects from inception to completion.


  • Establish timelines, allocate resources, and manage budgets.


  • Monitor project progress, address issues, and ensure timely delivery.


Data Management and Analytics


  • Ensure the effective capture, management, and utilization of marketing data.


  • Implement and oversee analytics solutions to measure marketing performance and ROI.


  • Ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).


Technical Implementation and Support


  • Oversee the technical aspects of Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation tool implementations, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.


  • Provide technical support and training to marketing teams.


Vendor and Stakeholder Management


  • Manage relationships with Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation tool vendors and service providers.


  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including IT, marketing, sales, and customer service teams.


Innovation and Improvement


  • Stay updated on the latest Martech & Digital Sales trends and innovations.


  • Brings external perspectives on Future Technology opportunities to test, learn and scale new marketing platform capabilities.


  • Drive the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions across K-C.


Performance Monitoring and Optimization


  • Monitor the performance of Martech, Digital Sales solutions and marketing campaigns.


  • Analyze results to identify areas for improvement and optimization (IMM, RGM, TPN).


  • Implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


Security and Compliance


  • Ensure that Martech, Digital Sales & Innovation solutions adhere to security standards and policies.


  • Manage risks associated with data security and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.


Team Leadership and Collaboration


  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of digital professionals.


  • Foster a collaborative environment across marketing, IT, and other departments


Professional Skills & Qualifications

The Head of Digital Engagement & Global Marketing Platforms will possess:


  • 15+ years of digital & commercial transformation experience in large, complex consumer-oriented industries including 7+ years leading enterprise transformation and change.


  • Good understanding of the nuances of the consumer goods sector including knowledge of product lifecycles, market trends, and consumer behavior.


  • Strong technical depth and demonstrated ability to develop and execute a digital marketing technology strategy & roadmap.


  • Forward thinking leader focused on applying new technologies and unlocking emerging capabilities that create valuable business outcomes.


  • Effective communicator and collaborative leader with a proven ability to lead, train and uplift the skills of a global technology team.


  • Experience in Fortune 500 consumer goods manufacturing and / or retail company.


  • Exceptional ability to build cross-functional relationships with Senior Leaders and diverse teams including IT, marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure alignment and integration of digital initiatives across the organization.


  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate digital strategies, initiatives, and results to key stakeholders, including the executive leadership team.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA or equivalent is preferred.

The Head of Digital Engagement & Global Marketing Platforms ideally will be based in Chicago, IL or Roswell, GA.
