Job Description:

SUMMARY:


The Marketing Assistant assists and collaborates with the Director of Marketing for Campus Operations on all marketing functions, merchandising, and social media.


RESPONSIBILITIES:



Marketing
Support

  • Serves as primary contact for all Dining Services menu boards, menu signage, and other digital media, as assigned.
  • Ensures signage templates adhere to standards.
  • Assists with merchandising, as directed.
  • Photographs and/or videography for assigned events. Organizes and maintains a digital media database.
  • Supports and contributes to the development of marketing campaigns and collateral content. Coordinates the implementation of plans and associated deliverables.
  • Staff assigned events to ensure proper execution and follow-through.
  • Researches marketing trends and new technologies; contributes to incorporating trends into future marketing efforts.
  • Provides general office support and completes other duties as assigned.

Content Creation

  • Assists in developing and implementing written and visual content for all Dining Services operational units. Develops, creates, and publishes content for all social media platforms and websites, ensuring brand voice consistency while tailoring content to each channel.
  • Develops goals and metrics to measure the effectiveness and growth of social media platforms. Produces weekly/monthly analytics reports.

  • Demonstrated creative experience in various areas, including multi-channel campaigns, print and digital signage and displays, and digital content design.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office suite, top social media platforms, and automation (HootSuite).

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • An associate degree in marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in social media is required.
  • Experience with digital marketing preferred.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-time, non-exempt position
  • Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 8 hrs./day; 40 hrs./week; occasional evenings and staffing of weekend events

SALARY STRUCTURE:


Pay Grade 4 (Hiring Range $18.18 to $22.72 per hour)
