JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as CECAS Business Operations Manager, overseeing the day to day operations for the Dean and Associate Dean offices within the college. Responsible for managing the administrative team, a project manager, and ensuring efficient and professional day to day business operations of the college's leadership team. Focus on developing the administrative coordinators, streamlining event management, overseeing special projects, and enhance strategic communications. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

35% - Essential - Administrative Operations:
Oversees and coordinates the administrative operations of the Dean and Associate Dean offices; supervises the administrative coordinators and office managers at the college level; ensures meetings are appropriately planned for and conducted in accordance with the faculty manual/CECAS bylaws. Ensures annual processes like awards, internal competitions, scholarships, etc. are conducted accurately and timely. Develops and implements policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency across the colleges office manager group. Advises the dean and associate deans on administrative matters, and provide strategic input. Evaluates administrative personnel management activities, and provide strategic direction for improved services.

30% - Essential - CECAS Event Management:
Streamlines event planning and execution processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery, increased attendance, and overall satisfaction of the stakeholders involved in the delivery of the event. Works with stakeholders across campus to plan events for maximum impact and streamlined within stakeholder workload capacity. Prepares and monitors event related budgets.

15% - Essential - Special Projects:
Oversees, coordinates, and supervises a project manager tasked with supporting dean and associate dean special projects. Holds project manager accountable to special project timelines and deliverables, providing guidance and feedback along the way. Works actively with CECAS leadership to manage and plan meaningful workload.

15% - Essential - Communications:
Prepares special reports and communications for college leadership and external stakeholders to include but not limited to - Dean and AD presentation materials, TPR documentation, hiring plan to on boarding processes and resources.

5% - Essential - Policies/Procedures:
Utilizes comprehensive understanding of the college's mission, policies, and operational procedures to provide direction, guidance and backup across dean's office support staff as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree and relevant program management experience.
Work Experience: 1+ years

Monitors Budget - Does not provide input but is responsible for monitoring the departmental budget and may oversee fund allocation.
