Job Title: Director, Manufacturing

Department: Manufacturing Operations

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview:

The Director of Manufacturing role is responsible for the coordination of activities for Acton Manufacturing, which includes Pod assembly and PDM operation. This role will monitor all procedures and standards to promote a strong safety and quality culture. They will also be responsible for participating in regular quality audits, following good manufacturing practices, and abiding by all federal/state/local regulations alongside our company policies/procedures. This role is responsible for supporting all shifts and potential weekend work that may be required by the organization.

Responsibilities:


  • Prioritize plant safety, the quality policy, and regulatory compliance at all times

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor manufacturing performance, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management

  • Collaborate with other departments such as engineering, sales, marketing, and finance to align manufacturing activities with broader business goals and objectives

  • Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets are met

  • Plan and manage manufacturing capacity to meet current and future demand, considering factors such as market forecasts, product lifecycle stages, and production capabilities

  • Ensure that products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements through effective quality control measures and adherence to industry standards

  • Build budgets, strat plans, and manage operating costs with a continuous improvement mindset

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with overall business objectives, ensuring production efficiency and profitability

  • Provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop and mentor staff to enhance their skills and capabilities

  • Applies understanding of Lean problem-solving methodologies

  • Perform other duties as required

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, or experience in related field preferred

  • A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted

  • 5+ years of management experience and direct manufacturing/operational experience in a regulated industry is required

Preferred Skills and Competencies:


  • Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment

  • Knowledge of safety related issues including compliance with State, Federal and Local regulations as well as knowledge of manufacturing operations/quality control assurance best practices

  • The ability to analyze data using various operating systems and programs, and to develop intra-department teams to establish goals and take corrective actions to improve performance

  • The ability to work closely in a team-based environment with all levels of employees

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, independent self-starter with highly developed analytical/ problem solving skills

  • Strong financial management and business acumen

Physical Requirements (if applicable):


  • Must be able to stand and walk up to 5 hours a day

  • Must be able to flex work schedule regularly as the business demands

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000.00 - $234,300.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
