Position Overview:
Insulet Corporation, maker of Omnipod, is the leader in tubeless insulin pumps. We are looking for a software engineering manager to lead our Web/CMS team. This team builds and maintains our company websites, Omnipod.com and Insulet.com, using the Drupal Content Management System (CMS). This is a fast-paced environment working on challenging problems. Your work will impact the lives of people living with diabetes!
As a Manager, Web/CMS Development, you will lead and manage a team of skilled developers building sites that support our customers, including people with diabetes and healthcare professionals. You will partner with multiple teams, including our Marketing, Product Management, Quality Assurance, User Experience, and CRM teams, to develop best-in-class web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage developers who are part of a Scrum team
- Work with senior team members and the Product team to plan and execute work using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Mentor and motivate software developers to deliver high quality code using software best practices and patterns, and to work effectively as a team
- Help team members define and track their goals and grow and develop in their careers
- Lead the team as they evaluate new technologies and explore solution alternatives, including developing prototypes
- Learn and follow Insulet SOPs, such as documentation and change management, as they apply to the websites the team is responsible for
- Provide timely support to team customers, internal and external
- Respond to production escalations and coordinate resolution by the team
- Maintain documentation of and enforce website governance to keep the sites stable and secure
- Maintain the relationship with our web hosting vendor to make the best and most cost-effective use of their services
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or above in relevant discipline
- 5+ years managing direct reports
- 2+ years managing software development teams
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Understanding of web development, ideally with Drupal or another, similar CMS
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, & presentation
- Strong interpersonal skills for leadership, not just management
- Experience with website accessibility standards a plus
- Experience with privacy regulations, HIPAA and GDPR, a plus
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Occasional business travel within US and globally
- Off-hour availability for critical issues or events

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $131,100.00 - $196,950.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
