Our team is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Controller in the food and beverage space. This is an onsite role located in Northern California.
The Manufacturing Controller will act as a key financial advisor, working closely with the leadership team, aiding in strategic planning and supporting organizational growth. This role involves overseeing all facets of accounting operations and records, including financial reporting and systems to establish controls and minimize risk. The Manufacturing Controller will ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP and international standards.
WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS (Essential Duties):
Manages full accounting functions, policies and procedures; implementing controls to minimize Company risk
Supervise the production of financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and international finance reporting regulations
Act as a business partner to identify and recommend benchmarks for measuring company performance
Responsible for annual budget and forecasts, reporting significant variances to management
Provide strategic financial analysis with a focus on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations
Act as the liaison between internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and ensuring compliance with internal controls
Consistently meet mandatory reporting deadlines with complete and accurate submissions
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
Evaluate operations for financial opportunities to maximize profitability
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required Qualifications):
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills are essential
Must be highly proficient with data gathering, financial reporting and ERP systems
Possess strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Efficient, deadline-driven individual capable of working independently and leading teams
Established experience in a manufacturing environment with standard accounting and finance concepts, practices, and procedures, including cost accounting
Dynamic, Team leadership and prior supervisory of direct reports required
Must be able to be onsite, in a manufacturing and corporate office environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, MBA preferred
Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting and financial analysis experience within a manufacturing company/industry
Extensive experience in manufacturing and inventory control is required
