Responsible for coordinating all technical activities of assigned projects, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing personnel and engineering work to ensure effective project coordination. The engineering manager must possess adequate technical knowledge of their projects to identify issues, offer guidance to the team, and ensure that project outcomes meet requirements. Proactively lead initiatives for improvement.
Primary and Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee a team of engineers for project execution, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion while meeting relevant technical standards.
Conduct annual performance evaluations for themselves and their direct reports.
Manage a technical group independently.
Comply with the engineering guidebook and strive to enhance its content.
Promote best practices and apply lessons learned
Actively support leadership-sponsored initiatives.
Manage project budgets, costs, and scheduling requirements.
Establish and attain objectives while assisting direct reports in achieving theirs.
Make commitments and honor them, with the expectation of the same from reports.
Promote adherence to cost-effective, weight-efficient, and manufacturable design.
Participate in proposal preparations.
Engage in technical assessments.

Years Experience Level of Education
A minimum of 6 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited institution are required; a Master of Science in Engineering, Professional Engineer (PE) License, and/or MBA are preferred.

Proficiency in English language (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
Capable of independent work on a weekly basis.
