Academic Req: Associates in business or related field or 5-8 years accounts payable and accounts receivable



Certifications: N/A



Work Experience: 5-8 years business accounting experience, accounts payable and accounts receivable



Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:



1. Ensures all Compass Connections vendors meet the federal requirement for suspended and debarred clearance


2. Monitor aging Accounts Payable report, including follow-up for those past due


3. Maintains vendor and AP employee relations for Compass Connections and provide assistance to program administrative assistants on expense reports, Web Purchasing Requisitions, Web Invoicing requests, IntelliLink and SharePoint when needed


4. Monitors accounts receivable as well as long-term accounts receivable outside of regular timelines


5. Works closely with Budget to track timely submission of reimbursement requests and appropriate classification per grant policies and subsequent receipt of grant revenue


6. Works with Financial Analyst to review monthly state or federal contract invoices/billings and collection of funds


7. Research and communicate to Associate Deputy Director for Finance issues regarding aged accounts receivables


8. Facilitate P-card account access for new employees


9. Provide back up support to P-card Manager for month-end close


10. Attend all staff and agency meetings as requested


11. Comply with all policies/procedures of the agency


12. Perform other duties as assigned


13. Research vendor disputes


14. Assist with external and internal agency audits, including A-133 audits


15. Assist with the closing of the fiscal year end books as needed



Other Responsibilities:



1. Review and monitor how employees time and cost allocations are created and maintained across all contracts and locations.


2. Perform monthly, and as needed, internal audits to assess fiscal integrity.


3. Utilizes systems to track and ensure level and regulatory compliance, as well as internal controls and financial procedures, followed at all levels of the division.


4. Assist with the creation of divisional contracts, budget tracking documentation, and other tracking systems as needed.


5. Reviews financial aging reports, follows up with leadership staff, and submits written feedback and plan of action to obtain financial reimbursement.



Requirements:



1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.


2. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.


3. Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks.


4. Demonstrate the ability to:


a. Respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.


b. Work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers and professionals.


c. Provide crisis intervention according to training provided by Compass Connections when needed to maintain a safe environment.


d. Work in a fast-paced environment and maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times.


e. Maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position.


f. Work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.


5. Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Compass Connections policies and procedures.
