Job Overview:

The Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Leader for Field Service provides leadership and accountability of business HSE goals, HSE programs, and HSE processes. In this role, you will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, build effective partnerships and have the ability to affect Field Service short-term and long-term HSE goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Preparedness and fire protection, safety risk assessments and safe working procedures for non-office activities, hazardous waste management, HSE training, ergonomics, contractor safety, security access control, PPE, Respiratory Protection, LOTO, and crisis management

  • Oversee compliance assurance program, perform site audits, and lead efforts with management and operations team to implement corrective actions.

  • Provide HSE technical leadership, issue resolution, and candid input to management.

  • Lead efforts in implementing Hazard Reduction and Injury Prevention Projects

  • Ensure 100% compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.

  • Drive improvements in HSE culture, awareness, and accountability.

  • Lead efforts to operationalize HSE; lead by example and be the role model for HSE.

  • Ensure personnel understand and comply with terms and conditions of all permits.

  • Plan and conduct HSE training.

  • Conduct incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans.

  • Maintain EHS expertise to provide technical and regulatory support to Field Service team.

  • Lead the random drug screen program through DISA as a DER

  • Proactively engage stakeholders to ensure HSE compliance.

  • Measure & maintain HSE metrics (I&I rate, First Aid Cases, Near Misses, Concern Reporting, Training Completion, Stop Work Cases)


  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all HSE issues.

  • Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast operational impact.

  • Engage / coach leaders enabling them to successfully manage their HSE leadership responsibilities.

  • Support the team to identify safety and security for critical equipment and develop preventative maintenance plans to manage these.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Travel ~30% of the time.

Required Skills and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Engineering, or Environmental Science from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience with exposure to several HSE areas in a manufacturing environment and Field Service)

  • Minimum 2-5 years of HSE experience with at least 2 years of experience in the oil and gas industry


    • Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

    • Experience with Gensuite (ESG Benchmark) preferred.

    • Experience with DISA preferred.


  • Ability to implement HSE programs and achieve measurable goals.

  • Ability to self-manage and organize priorities.

  • Prior operational experience of business continuity planning and incident management

  • Strong project management skills

  • Ability to train and motivate employees.
