Job Description:

*Must sit in Milwaukee, WI, St Joseph, MO, or Toledo, OH*

What you will do

In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and leadership of new product development/launch programs and special projects for automotive OE & Aftermarket applications.

How you will do it

• You will lead Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT) in the planning and execution of new product development programs from the strategic planning to the quoting phases up through launch. You will manage the communication and deliverables between and within functional areas (e.g. engineering/manufacturing, engineering/sales) as required by the project(s).


• Programs will adhere to Clarios’ internal execution methodology - Power D3, and utilize Clarios’ Daptiv PDP tool.


• Track start-up costs with Plant Controller and be accountable for the entire budget planning and execution of the project.


• Ensure Operations agreement on Capital, Expenses, Tooling Equipment and other Plant related costs and investments for Program Budget.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree is required (Preferred in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering)


• Minimum of 5 years of work experience with 3+ years in Program/Project Management (preferred) and 3 years in Manufacturing, Engineering or Quality, with knowledge of integrated automotive products


• Experience with APQP, IATF 16949 and other Customer-specific requirements


• Experience working in an APQP based methodology and PM tool desired


• Ability to travel up to 50% (domestically)

Preferred

• OE Automotive or Tier 1 experience


• PMP software experience (DAPTIV or related systems)


• Product development and production launch experience


• Previous knowledge of batteries highly preferred
