Your Role:
Maintenance Supervisor has a responsibility for the organization and performance of the maintenance employees, and the overall performance of the Maintenance Department. Which includes the planning of work orders for routine repairs, preventative, and emergency maintenance. The staff will include employees with various skills sets and the use of sub-contractors as needed. The maintenance supervisor will periodically provide information/presentation style reviews on department metrics, an actively participate in supporting the facilities Capital Project work. Maintenance Supervisor is required to maintain department training standards, environmental compliance, and budget considerations. The site uses SAP and TrackWise enterprise systems which is required.
Specific responsibilities include:
Adaptive leadership skills and promote inclusive teamwork
Prioritize, schedule, and assign daily maintenance/electrical tasks
Ensure department conforms to Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements where necessary
Coordinate with onsite contractor as well as sub-contractors with site maintenance when required
Actively plan and participate in plant shutdown activities
Prepare and submit performance reports as needed
Actively participate in all plant Environmental/Health and Safety initiatives
Identify and execute efficiency improvements in current work structure
Track and maintain all department training requirements, keeping records up to date.
Review, update, and issue procedures as needed
Adhere to corporate policies, standards, and site requirements
Support site engineering by providing small CAPEX projects
Availability for communicating, direction or reporting to site 24/7 as needed for emergency response
Contribute to the accurate documentation necessary for plant certifications (ISO 9001, etc.)
Uses leadership skills to keep employees motivated, solve problems, and resolve conflicts
Create schedules, order supplies and write reports while meeting departmental goals
Develop and maintain a budget in your department
Provide verbal and written communication to variety of settings various settings (customers, groups, and management meetings)
Follows all policies and procedures as defined from corporate and facilities
Develops and/or assist in the implementation of process improvement, safety, quality, and 5S ideas
Administrative General Housekeeping policy/procedures
Responsible for following general personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements as established by company policy
Fork trucks/powered industrial vehicles
Up to 10% travel
Physical Attributes:
Lift up to 50 pounds
Work inside and outside in uncomfortable conditions (hot, cold, humid, rain, snow, etc.)
Work around hazardous chemicals and solvents
Wear respirator and all other required PPE
Climb ladders & stairs, and walk long distances
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Drivers License
5+ years' experience in maintenance role
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in chemical manufacturing
Familiarity with Process Safety Management facilities
Experience with single and 3-phase electrical systems up to 480V
Skilled with pipefitting, welding, and fabricating
Knowledge of SAP systems (ISO9001/14001/45001) Management Systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc.)
