Primary Responsibilities & Opportunity



Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman is seeking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager. The Senior Business Development Manager will be a member of the global marketing and business development team supporting the Transactional Business Units (Corporate & Securities and Real Estate). This position can be based in any of the firm's US offices, with a preference in New York.


The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the BD strategy, leading strategic initiatives, and planning, supporting and implementing a broad array of business development initiatives to help expand Pillsbury's business and reputation. Working with our Corporate practice, and with the support of colleagues across the platform, the Senior Business Development Manager will advise lawyers on client pitch strategies, create proposals and pitch materials, conduct research and analysis, manage events, and complete lawyer directory submissions (e.g. Chambers and The Legal 500).



Qualifications



Candidate should have a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in professional services or law firm business development. Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative and team player attributes.


Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables and can handle high-pressure environments. Candidate should have strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and some knowledge of applications specific to the legal field.


Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the California Fair Chance Act. California, New York and Washington DC Pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $180,000-$220,000.
