Pieper Electric is looking for an experienced or entry level electrical engineer to join our growing Arc Flash & Electrical System Studies group. Pieper Electric's Arc flash & Electrical System Studies group performs short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash studies for new and existing industrial, commercial, healthcare, and institutional facilities throughout Wisconsin and the United States.
Perform electrical power system studies to include short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination studies and arc-flash studies.
Create one-line drawings in the SKM or Easy Power Software with information gathered by our on-site data collectors, or from project one-lines and equipment submittals.
Perform arc flash incident energy analysis, arc flash mitigation, and create arc flash labels
Work with our arc flash specialists and on-site data collectors to complete accurate, turnkey arc flash & electrical system studies.
Review one-line drawings created within the department
Collaborate with the department to ensure accurate and consistent studies
Create final engineering reports, recommendations, and project deliverables
Collaborate with the department and stay up to date on the most recent arc flash mitigation methods, new protective device options, arc flash calculations, and the NFPA-70E standard.
Work environment may be at the New Berlin office, remote, job site, or a combination of the three.
Ability to assist with field data verification to obtain the necessary information required to create an accurate model of the electrical system
Willing to travel within Wisconsin or the US if necessary (Any travel will be minimal)
