Reporting to the Head Men's Basketball Coach, the Director of Men's Basketball Operations assists in the administration of all phases of the men's basketball program in accordance with NCAA Division I rules and philosophies.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employment duties include, but are not limited to:
Plan, coordinate, and supervise all aspects of the administrative and operational activities of the Stetson Men's Basketball program
Manage all efforts in regards to both practice and game preparations
Coordinate all team travel arrangements, including airline, bus, hotel, food reservations as well as practice times and travel itineraries
Assist in marketing plans and with maintaining social media sites
Organize and participate in camp and community service projects
Act as a vocational counselor for student athletes, including managing course load and providing academic support
Responsible for the alignment of student athletes with their post-grad career opportunity
Act as the academic and career point of contact as well as program facilitator for student athletes and the community
Perform other site and position specific duties as assigned
Required Skills
Effective verbal and written communication
Experience with day-to-day administrative; including but not limited to implementation of running and workout programs, budget management, professional development, NCAA rules and regulations, organization skills, and supporting the educational goals and ideals of the members of the men's basketball program
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations; and a commitment to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the NCAA and ASUN Conference as required
Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, admissions and financial aid officers, fellow employees, program boosters, and the public
Knowledge of all computer-related duties, including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, ARMS
1-3 years demonstrated college coaching experience in coaching Men's Basketball

Master's degree
Ability to lead with integrity and positively influence the lives and athletic careers of the student-athletes on the Men's Basketball Team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superb organization skills to effectively manage and lead Men's Basketballprogram
Work Environment: Duties require: both indoor and outdoor work; direct exposure to prevailing weather, extreme heat, humidity, and extreme cold; physical ability to endure physically strenuous work-outs and physical exercise on a daily basis, including standing and/or walking for long periods, bending, stooping, lifting; manual dexterity; lifting of up to fifty pounds; ability to work hours outside the normal University schedule; physical ability to travel; perceptual demands for sound, form, depth.
