Brief Description of PSU/School/Dept | The Hatfield School of Government is one of three schools located in the College of Urban and Public Affairs. The School offers undergraduate and graduate-level instruction in Criminology and Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Public Administration. The Hatfield School of Government is actively engaged in the important public policy issues of the day. Position Summary | The Public Administration (PA) Administrative Program Assistant will have primary responsibility for supporting multiple Masters programs in the Public Administration Department, as well as associated Interdisciplinary programs and Graduate Certificates. In addition to the Graduate programs, the position will also help with coordination of the Department’s Undergraduate programs. The PA Administrative Program Assistant supports program development; recruitment and student process management from admissions through graduation; and takes lead responsibility in all data management required for NASPA accreditation. The PA Administrative Program Assistant works with faculty, staff, students, alumni, board members, and community partners to assist with the development, implementation, and evaluation of PA programs and projects. This 1.0 FTE, 12-month appointment reports directly to the Department Chair, as well as works closely with the Department Manager and staff across the Hatfield School of Government. |
Minimum Qualifications from Classification | Two years of general clerical experience. One year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR An Associate’s degree in Office Occupations or Office Technology; OR Graduation from a private school of business with a Certificate in Office Occupations or Office Technology AND one year of general clerical experience. Note: College courses in Office Occupations or Office Technology will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. |

Total Compensation Range & Benefits Statement | The starting salary rate for this position will be between $18.57 and $21.00 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience, with an excellent benefits package including 95% premium paid healthcare; a generous retirement and vacation package; and reduced tuition rates for employee, spouse or dependant at any of the Oregon University System schools :https://www.pdx.edu/human-resources/benefits-overview |
