The Analyst II, Portfolio Strategy plays a pivotal role in shaping the development and advancement of business strategies within Resurgent's Inventory Management department. Responsibilities:



Strategy Development


  • Identify opportunities and lead projects to enhance or create business strategies, quantifying potential economic impact and associated risks.


  • Act as both project manager and thought leader in projects aimed at maximizing value by implementing experiments and new workflow strategies.


  • Conduct routine risk assessments and scenario analyses to evaluate potential outcomes of different strategic opportunities.


  • Regularly contribute to 'think tank' sessions to generate creative ideas that drive value.


  • Translate business strategy requirements into detailed action plans and coordinate implementation with appropriate teams.


  • Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives, providing regular updates to senior leadership.




Data Management and Analysis


  • Leverage advanced analytics and data visualization tools to communicate insights and strategy performance to stakeholders.


  • Aggregate large, complex datasets and transform them into actionable insights and meaningful information to support decision-making.


  • Understand data management structures and consistently create accurate SQL queries and reports.


  • Apply a basic understanding of data science models to identify strategic opportunities where models can be utilized to create significant value.


  • Communicate complex data and analytical results clearly and effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders.




Performance and Process Management


  • Partner with performance managers to enhance network performance through recommended strategy advancements.


  • Own and utilize servicer scorecards to effectively measure and drive performance across the servicing network.


  • Identify and recommend optimization opportunities for servicer allocation and utilization.


  • Manage various business processes aimed at creating and maximizing value across the organization.


  • Maintain a thorough understanding of existing business processes, servicer performance metrics, scorecard methodologies, and reporting practices.


Industry Knowledge


  • Stay informed about industry trends and technological advancements that may impact new and existing portfolio strategies.


  • Monitor economic factors affecting performance, providing strategic insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.


  • Conduct periodic on-site visits to servicers to gain firsthand insights into operational and regulatory challenges, emerging trends, and strategic opportunities for enhancing collaboration and performance.





Qualifications/Skills:



  • 3-5 years of similar experience


  • Advanced skills in Excel (charts, formulas, macros) required


  • Comfortable with "quick math": the ability to quickly discern accuracy, spot trends/problems, and size up opportunity.


  • Capable of navigating data structures and organizing large data sets


  • Intermediate proficiency in programming languages and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python, PowerBI/DAX, Tableau, Excel).


  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.


  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.





Educational Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree mixed with experience may be considered, prefer Master's Degree within an analytical or quantitative field (i.e. Economics, Finance, Engineering, Business (MBA), Mathematical Sciences, etc.)
