ISS STOXX is hiring! ISS STOXX is currently seeking a qualified professional to join our Index Data Services team as a full-time employee focused on the Fixed Income asset class, based in our New York office.

In this role, the Associate will produce high quality value-added content, by working closely with Development, Research, and Product business units. They will be actively involved in the onboarding and integration of Fixed Income data. Key components of the Associate’s work include incorporating new datasets for use in Index products, and ensuring the ongoing delivery of data required by the Index business.

The successful candidate will provide ongoing operational support for best-in-class index products to global sell-side, buy-side, hedge funds, and asset owner investors. The candidate will use quantitative and qualitative skills to manage the ongoing maintenance of index and data products, which include operational processes, data analysis, data reconciliation, and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contributor on data ingestion projects, ensuring that key project deliverables are completed efficiently and on time
  • Contribute to the definition of requirements for Fixed Income data onboarding
  • Perform Quality Assurance tasks and data analysis to ensure validity of content produced and delivered to ISS STOXX business units
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for various index products with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Help with data ingestion activities and in data reconciliation tasks involving identifiers and other instrument attributes
  • Work closely with other team members based in the London, Prague, and New York offices of ISS STOXX
  • Manipulate large amount of financial data and use various tools to present and analyze results
  • Assist Product and Index Operations teams in resolving data inquiries
  • Proactively look for opportunities to streamline processes wherever appropriate
  • Collaborate and communicate across all teams involved with index and data production process

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative field
  • Knowledge of capital markets including equities and fixed income required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and with a geographically-dispersed team
  • Ability to multi-task and manage cross-departmental projects
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, detail oriented
  • Financial certifications, including CFA, FRM, and CAIA, a plus but not essential
  • Experience with SQL, Python or other object-oriented programming language, VBA, UNIX/LINUX very beneficial, but not essential
  • Experience with financial software (e.g. Bloomberg, Eikon, FactSet) and financial databases are pluses

This role is only being recruited in New York City.

Base salary: The New York City expected base pay range is $80,000 - $105,000 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and level of education.

The role is bonus or sales incentive eligible.
