This remote opportunity is open to candidates residing anywhere in the United States or Canada.


We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Managed Services team. The Project Coordinator is responsible for leading and executing services projects for VelocityEHS's suite of products / services. As Project Coordinator you will work on a variety of project types, including but not limited to implementation of VelocityEHS's suite of products, (i.e., SSO implementation, translation services, etc.), service-specific projects (i.e., Chemical Management services and Authoring services), and within those domains coordinating services projects that are high in complexity and/or volume.


You have experience in a customer facing role within a services organization / department, working directly with clients and internal teams to deliver specific services, working within specific contractual requirements. This role will require an internal/external customer focused mindset, in addition to keeping all project team members on track with deliverables throughout each project. You are an effective communicator, solutions oriented, exceptionally organized and preferably, have experience in a SaaS environment. As Project Coordinator, you will understand the importance of consistent delivery across projects delivered by the team, follow existing processes (and help to improve), and are able to support team objectives and company goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Leads, manages, and integrates day to day execution of project activities in accordance with contract requirements and ensures technical, schedule, cost, and financial performance

  • Coordinates multiple projects simultaneously, balancing and prioritizing competing demands for quality, time and cost for each project

  • Plans and coordinates the work of internal project team members, Subject Matter Experts, and Clients

  • Conducts project status meetings and provide regular status reports to clients, including meeting minutes, action logs, risk identification and identifying opportunities to support Change Management activities for our client's organizations

  • Maintains internal documentation, including updates to project schedules, notes and revenue tracking

  • Works directly with clients to ensure alignment of services purchased, and ensures that services delivered meet the client's requirements and goals, while adhering to system capabilities and
    services offered

  • Contributes to the success of the Managed Services Teams, by collaborating and contributing to development of SOP's, procedures, processes and/or workflow documentation

  • Manages project milestones and timelines while documenting progress and other pertinent information


Minimum Skills and Qualifications



  • 1-3 years of related professional experience, preferably in a project/team role (or 2-5 years without a Bachelor's degree)

  • Working knowledge of EHS, including Hazardous Communication

  • Experience in a Software as a Service environment

  • Currently working towards a Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Business, Information Technology or relevant education / experience required

  • Understanding of proper Document Management and Document Governance practices

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.), working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (PDF) documents and format, in addition to Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project, Asana, Workfront, etc.

  • Experience working in a remote-friendly company, using online tools and software to coordinate projects and daily work

  • Detail-oriented, multi-tasking working style, coordinating multiple projects at once, while consistently reviewing / updating priorities as required

  • Collaborative approach and team-player mentality

  • Ability to adopt new processes and ways of thinking to align with both team and company objectives, embraces change and can support new initiatives

  • Customer-focused approach; take full ownership of the project, customer questions and/or concerns and follows through to completion


Preferred Skills and Qualifications



  • Experience and/or education in Project Management Methodology

  • Process Mapping experience an asset

  • Understanding of software development principles and processes including agile and scrum methodologies

  • Empathy and ability to identify with a user mindset and understand business needs
