Summary:



The Computer Maintenance Electrical Lead are to assist in the development, installation, and maintenance of new technology being installed.



Our
Computer Maintenance Electrical Lead would be working B Shift at our Waterloo KPR plant in Waterloo, IA. This is a Rotating schedule 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM, 5 days week with frequent overtime. The pay is $40.80/hour (not negotiable) with a $1.00 Shift Differential.




Responsibilities:



Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting; daily machine inspection and maintenance to include blade replacements, calibration, sensor inspection and cleaning, greasing, and testing. Work with plant management to make desired programming changes to keep machine functions current with product specifications.


  • Follow all Tyson Safety policies and ensure team's compliance.


  • Prepare maintenance schedules in line with the organization's maintenance goals and monitoring PM compliance.


  • Frequently inspect facilities to proactively detect potential problems and recommend the necessary repair or maintenance.


  • Provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure the proper onboarding and training process.


  • Oversee and enforce good record-keeping practices using SAP


  • Generate work orders, enter comprehensive job details, and assign work to qualified team members.


  • Frequently inspect the quality of performed maintenance work.


  • Communicate policies, procedures, and any updates to maintenance staff.


  • Check that every single job is executed on time, to the budget, and without compromising building users' safety.


  • Work closely with vendors, outsourced service providers, and contractors to protect the interests of the facility.


  • Keep an eye on materials and spare parts inventory.


  • Help with the development of maintenance procedures and proactive maintenance programs like preventative maintenance.


  • Recommend budget items, contributing to the development of an annual maintenance budget.


  • Recommend upgrades, overhauls, and other changes to major systems and equipment.


  • Actively participate in projects (e.g. remodeling or renovation).


  • Actively discuss staff-related challenges with senior management.


  • Help with day-to-day equipment maintenance work when needed.


  • Check that the premises are safe and not in violation of any regulations.


  • Communicate directly with building occupants to resolve service requests.





Additional Responsibilities:



  • Ensure proper shut-down and protection prior to night sanitation.


  • Diagnose and correct machine problems as they occur.


  • Act as a liaison between vendors/service technicians for new equipment, plant management and corporate automation.


  • Ensure adequate spare parts are in supply.


  • Log machine performance and keep current manuals and other documentation for new machinery.


  • Provide necessary training for staff.


  • The technician will ensure the maintenance of the equipment and the operation of the new technology being installed and train the maintenance staff.





Requirements:



  • Education: High school diploma


  • Experience: 1+ year or more electrical and electronics experience.


  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.


  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written skills.


  • Special Skills: Basic mechanical skills; knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulics and motor controls; ability to read a blueprint and electrical schematic; safety knowledge and skills.
