In this role, you will be serving as a Project Manager within the Project Management Office, based in our Rockville, Maryland location.

As a Project Manager, you will plan, establish, organize, and manage end to end software projects. The candidate will coordinate across various cross functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meets customer expectations.

The value you will deliver

• Manage software development projects using Agile Scrum project methodology, as well as standardized life-cycle methodology, to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope of project.
• Define project tasks and resource requirements.
• Assemble and coordinate a cross functional project team that spans across multiple time zones.
• Create and maintain a project plan using Microsoft Project that communicates project tasks, milestone dates, statuses, and resource allocation.
• Identify risks and manage mitigation plans.
• Implement and manage all project changes using the change management process.
• Communicate to senior management and key project stakeholders the dates, issues, risks, and status of projects.
• Identify and implement best practices to ensure the success of projects.
• Project portfolio tracking and management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate has/is

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Management Information Systems or related field.
• CSM and/or PMP certified preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years’ experience in Project Management.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic, results-oriented, self-initiator
• Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning, including Agile, risk management, change management and project portfolio management.
• Ability to motivate groups of people to complete a project in a timely manner.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet organization success.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project, or related software.
• Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software used in the organization and the industry (ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint, Confluence).
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
