Job Details:

Mercer University is accepting applications for the position of Football Equipment Manager.


Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the equipment manager are to purchase, provide maintenance to, and distribute equipment to football team on a timely basis. Other duties may include game day and practice set up, cleaning apparel for players, conducting athlete’s needs assessment, and suggesting equipment and supply needs.

Early morning and weekend work will be required.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma and one year of related experience, which must include working with team sports in a college setting, are required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written

  • Organizational skills

  • Knowledge of computers and Office Suite

  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. overhead with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Willingness to work on weekends, mornings, and evenings

  • Travel is a necessity
