Job Summary

In this exciting role you will serve as primary business subject-matter-expert for the administration processes supported by the claim management application, on the Salesforce platform, in Life & Disability Services. As a member of this system support team, you will participate heavily in the claim management application monthly maintenance release cycle. In addition, you will monitor the claim management application performance and lead business process reviews with leaders and frontline staff.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Monitor, evaluate and resolve all items submitted by the claim management application users; triage as appropriate to IT and / or vendor.

  • Help evaluate and prioritize the claim management application changes and enhancements (both strategic and tactical) to achieve short and long term business goals. Align business needs to system capabilities and workflows.

  • Participate heavily in the claim management application monthly maintenance release cycle, including: evaluate changes and enhancements, develop requirements, collaborate with vendor and IT, deliver all aspects of user acceptance testing, complete post-deployment validation, and consult on training and deployment readiness activities.

  • Lead change management activities for system changes, including communicating changes to stakeholders, and ensuring appropriate training and reinforcement activities are performed.

  • Conduct regular monthly check-ins with users and leaders to elicit system and workflow feedback and improvement opportunities; evaluate, design and recommend process improvements.

  • Monitor system performance (usage, process errors, data integrity, etc.) and perform system process auditing as needed to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of system usage. Escalate findings to leadership to determine what action to take.

  • Partner with Shared Services to ensure the claim management application and usage meets all SOX, SOC1 and other regulatory control requirements.

  • Work with internal partners to identify and configure the requirements for new Absence Management customers. Maintain configurations when changes occur on existing Absence Management customers.

* A strong preference will be given to candidates that have problem solving, continuous improvement and project management experience at a department level. Ideal candidates will have a strong interest in understanding the business needs and technology landscape and applying that understanding to help develop future state capabilities within the claim management application.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • 2 – 5 years progressively responsible experience in a claim administrative position desired.

  • Knowledge of Life & Disability Services claim processes, relationships, dependencies and cross-functional processes desired.

  • Systems administration experience desired.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field.

  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to define and direct systems improvement initiatives; make decisions and recommendations in the absence of specific directions; work on several projects concurrently; lead and participate in a variety of team activities as well as plan and organize own work; interact effectively with key company personnel.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$62,750.00 - $106,500.00
