Job Summary

The principal function of this position to provide the skills and expertise required to support, configure, and advance Medical Management applications. Interfaces with Information Systems, vendors and business staff to perform data validation, and identify system problems; and provides configuration and administrative support for the development, testing and implementation of projected enhancements to clinical software. Conduct reviews and recommend modifications to software functionality as determined by the business or vendor and will serve as a subject matter expert, working with business owners to optimize functionality, efficiency and performance.

Education & Experience

Required:

• If supporting TRICARE contract, must be a U.S. Citizen
• If supporting TRICARE contract, must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience providing support and clinical configuration for large Medical Management applications and software
• Healthcare Industry Experience

Preferred:

• Experience with application administration

Key Responsibilities

• Support the configuration, and documentation of a specialized medical management system, including its suite of applications, for the Clinical Operations business units. With a basic understanding of the application architecture and IT infrastructure, coordinate with IT, to ensure application support, configuration modifications, business case requirements and up-grades within the software represent the functional needs of Clinical Operations staff.
• Gain a complete and ongoing understanding of all the functionality of the software/modules to be able to offer software solution options to internal and external clients.
• Develop proficiency and expertise in creating custom clinical configuration objects to support application and user workflow. This may include profiles, surveys, assessments, templates and other user-defined configurations for various modules or clinical applications.
• Assist in the development and review of documentation and training content for new projects or process improvements within Clinical Operations.
• Performs quality assurance of vendor-delivered and/or custom application modules.
• Prepares and/or obtains test data. In coordination with IT, conducts application testing. Evaluates test results/defect logs and communicates results to developers and vendors.

• Works closely with vendors, developers, scrum teams and business units to coordinate project activities for programs and systems.
• Provides technical expertise, secondary support and system knowledge to clinical staff in relation to functionality issues with the applications.
• Maintains security standards and policies relating to system access over networks.
• Serves on project teams.
• Participates in regularly scheduled project review/status meetings internally and with client departments.
• Serves as a technical and functional resource to business units.
• Consistently follows standard change management processes. Documents and evaluates the impact of required changes to the various systems. Participates in plans, schedules and communicates changes prior to implementation. Coordinates deploy of all custom clinical configuration changes with IT staff, consistent with release management processes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

• Works within a standard office environment,
• Limited travel required to remote sites
• Participates in rotation of on-call responsibility

*Annual base salary for Colorado, Hawaii, Washington D.C. and Washington State residents: Approx. $85,000 depending on experience*
