The EDI Analyst will work as part of a team in a dynamic, fast paced, high volume EDI environment that supports the 1-800-Flowers business for its brands across multiple distribution channels. They will work with the EDI application (Seeburger BIS6), maintaining smooth communications for production using EDI tools. The role will work with trading partners to create mappings based on specifications. They will serve as the initial contact for troubleshooting inquiries, active monitoring of the EDI support queue and document transmissions, researching and logging of issues, and reconciliation of EDI documents.
Responsibilities:
Supports current EDI processes and business needs of existing trading partners, and onboards new trading partners
Designs and maintains EDI maps and workflows to ensure compliance with all business requirements
Monitors EDI system processing. Analyzes EDI issues/errors, troubleshoots, and performs tests to resolve issues
Coordinates with trading partners to resolve production issues
Supports testing plans, process documentation, and functional specifications for new and existing EDI mappings and workflows
Collaborates with other IT staff to develop and test new or modified systems
Periodically reviews system and identifies possible modifications
Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Two-year or four-year college degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Experience in the EDI field. Experience with Seeburger BIS6, Axway B2Bi or GlobalScape a plus.
Working knowledge of EDI formats such as X.12 and understanding of basic EDI functions
Knowledge of EDI communications standards and protocols: AS2, SFTP, VAN, SSL
