We are seeking a professional like you to serve as a Production-Manufacturing Engineer for our Engine Component Business Unit in Janesville, WI. In this role, you will be a key member of the Engineering team. You will analyze, optimize, and develop processes for continuous improvement projects and new technical and economic objectives. The ideal candidate possesses both a high level of technical expertise and an innate passion to build. JOB DESCRIPTION

Develop and implement assembly solutions for new launch programs, leveraging PFMEA process and best practices. Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods through the use of continuous improvement techniques to raise plant performance. Support critical production safety, quality and equipment issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement manufacturing solutions for new launch products that meets/exceeds safety, cost, quality and throughput targets.
  2. Develop process and setup parameters for all equipment utilizing DOEs to ensure capability.
  3. Define setup methods and facilitate training for operators, technicians, maintenance.
  4. Support plant improvement initiatives to address safety and quality concerns.
  5. Identify and execute continuous improvement projects that have a significant impact on plant performance.
  6. Train and support relevant personnel in work methodologies, operating processes and tools
  7. Provide technical input for processes and workstations to make technical improvements
  8. Schedule, maintain, and organize the maintenance of tooling, assembly machines and the product
  9. Work with equipment supplier to develop preventative maintenance plan and identify critical spare parts for new equipment.
  10. Develop new assembly processes and equipment technology that will take plant performance to the next level.
  11. Follow company policies, procedures and guidelines including the company handbook.
  12. Offer plant/companywide continuous improvement suggestions.
  13. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
