Job Summary




We are seeking a Client Relationship Officer to join our Financial Markets team at Standard Chartered Bank in Newark. The successful candidate will be working with the Client Services Manager as well as other team members to drive origination, develop strong client relationships and be seen as an expert in Financial Markets by internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will need to be able to serve as senior client service representative for US based clients. The candidate will further have to support the team coordinating multiple teams such as sales desk, operations, and other internal stakeholders to provide solutions to the client queries.

We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Financial Markets team, coverage and product partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth. Key Responsibilities





  • Ensure a consistently high level of service delivery to our clients and stakeholders.
  • Be the key contact / point of escalation for client queries / escalations.
  • Become an internal subject matter expert for other client service staff.
  • Provide a consistently high level of service delivery to our clients and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with sales desk, operations, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support incoming and outgoing requests from clients. Helping them to address their question and queries.
  • Actively capture voice of customer feedbacks and follow up on actions identified.
  • Record and manage customer complaints through resolution.




Essential Competencies





  • At least a BA degree in Finance/Financial studies.
  • 3-6 years' experience in Financial Markets.
  • Financial Markets Products as well as Financial Markets Operations knowledge.
  • Fully understand the Financial Market Operations (FMO) business strategy and leadership expectations.
  • Expertise in prioritising queries regarding how to handle any premium clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in objective judgement when dealing with conflicts due to prioritisation.
  • Experience in managing complex client service scenarios as well as knowledge in how to identify process to resolve.

Recruitment Assessments




Expected annual base pay range for the role is 91,872 USD to 137,808 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package. Discretionary variable pay and a range of attractive bank sponsored benefit programs are available and designed to foster employee overall health and well-being including, but not limited to, a best in class 401k plan with up to 8% employer match, robust medical plan coverage with employer funded Health Savings Accounts, inclusive family building benefits, and flexible/hybrid working arrangements for many of our positions subject to role specific considerations
