Job Duties:
Work alongside electrical engineers, scientists, and suppliers to develop new concepts and maintain existing designs for scientific laboratory instruments.
Apply basic mechanical engineering concepts and processes to the design of new and existing devices - both mechanical and electromechanical products.
Develop and maintain all product lines.
Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations to bring products to market.
Collaborate with colleagues, take suggestions into consideration, and make suggestions on how to improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related design engineering field.
5+ years of professional work experience as a mechanical engineer.
Must have experience with linear motion or gantry system design.
Experience using Solidworks for 3D design is preferred.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Familiarity with machining processes.
Knowledge of different material (metals, plastics, etc.)
