Akkodis is seeking a Project Planning Specialist for a Contract to Hire position with a client located in Pompano Beach FL 33069 (Onsite). Ideally looking for candidates having experience with NPI and arned Value Management.
Pay Range- $55-$60 per hour. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Duration- 12 Months (Contract to Hire)
Job Description Summary:
This role plays a significant part in the Planning and Monitoring/Controlling Process Groups within Project Management. The Project Analyst will work with engineering project teams to manage project: metrics, earned value, cost, schedule, subcontracts, and materials through the project life cycle. In this role, you will proactively analyze project data and work directly with project teams to address variances and properly report and manage project data and metrics.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
Minimum 4 years' experience in Project Management & Project Planning.
Experience building, updating, and leading schedules and their reviews.
Preferred platform for scheduling experience, MS Project, with the ability to adapt to other scheduling tools like Deltek Open Plan.
Understands change management regarding updates to Budget, Authorized Spend, Forecast, and the mechanisms to channel baseline change requests.
Knows how to interpret Project Dashboards regarding Financials, Variances, Indexes, and Resource Supply and Demand, including skill set requirements.
An experienced level of knowledge into Excel for Pivot Tables and other formatting constants is needed, as well as established experience in Word for possible Customer documents submittals, and Power Point for presentations to upper management.
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in Earned Value Management
Experience in Project Management
PMP Certification or some formal training on the PMBOK guidelines.
