Program Manager, Security

Our Professional Services team seeks a Program Manager for customer-facing cybersecurity services. In this role, the candidate will be ensuring the success of customer engagements and coordinating the interaction of internal and customer resources. This position requires an intermediate level understanding of security technologies (e.g., Firewalls, Network Access Control, Virtual Private Networks, etc.) as well as an ability to effectively manage programs/projects, timelines, budgets, and resources. The ideal candidate has industry experience and is confident working in a cross-functional team environment that is global in reach.

Responsibilities
  1. Defining Requirements: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand program requirements. This includes technology for internal systems, external products, or services that customers can purchase.
  2. Project Scoping: Within a program, manage different projects, each with its own development and testing phases. Design project timelines, allocate resources, and define the scope of work.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage key stakeholders, including senior management, project sponsors, and team members, to ensure alignment with program goals and objectives.
  4. Managing Schedules: Oversee the overall program schedule, ensuring smooth coordination between technical teams and other departments.
  5. Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including budget, work hours, and equipment, to ensure the successful execution of program activities.
  6. Testing and Reviewing Solutions: Evaluate potential solutions within the program, conducting both user testing and code testing to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  7. Quality Assurance: Establish quality standards and performance metrics for program deliverables. Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to these standards and implement corrective actions as needed.
  8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain program dashboards, reports, and metrics to track progress against program goals. Analyze performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Development, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer programming is a plus.
  • 5-8 years as a Program Manager in the IT industry.
  • PMP, or an equivalent certification.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
  • Experience leading successful medium and large programs with high customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to hold the program team and customers accountable when required.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities for additional business and provide input to presales and renewal evaluation.
  • Ability to lead partner delivery when third-party technical delivery resources are engaged.
  • Ability to evaluate performance metrics for programs, as well as diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Other Requirements
  • Ability to travel occasionally, as required by program activities.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to accommodate global project teams and stakeholders.
