The Role:

The Entegris site in Bedford, MA is currently seeking a talented and innovative Production Engineer who will own sustaining and quality assurance activities for manufacturing products and lead continuous improvement projects to drive process efficiency and reduce product variation. This new hire will work closely with various business functions to support manufacturing processes and resolve customer product quality inquiries.

What You'll Do:
  • Sustain productivity and quality levels of the manufacturing process. Activities include dispositioning of non-conforming materials (raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods), establishing/reviewing/updating SPC/SQC control limits, maintaining FMEAs and Control Plans, and participating in customer quality and ISO audits.
  • Be responsible for product quality, ranging from incoming products to finished goods.
  • Drive productivity in the manufacturing process by identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, yield, and cost.
  • Reduce variation in product and process parameters by identifying key contributors to variation and implementing effective control systems and enhanced manufacturing processes.
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve product quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Lead root cause investigations of manufacturing out-of-control conditions by fixing equipment and processes, observing, and performing experiments, locating the source of problems, and implementing permanent effective corrective actions.
  • Act as the process specialist, create work instructions, OJTS, and training requirements for processes and for new processes, lead training for Operators and submit signed OJTs to supervisors.
  • Develop and execute the Design of Experiment trials, manage new product scale-ups, and lead new equipment installations & qualifications as dictated by business needs.
  • Support machine breakdown resolution by providing guidance and hands-on assistance to remedy and correct issues.
  • Sustain and develop incoming inspection for Raw material, in-process and outgoing inspection for manufacturing released products.
  • Identify KPIV and OVs for raw material and maintain the SPC charts, RFCs, and disposition for the raw material.
  • Support Material Engineer (SQE) for non-conformance in RM or external processing.
  • Own the Metrology for released products in Manufacturing along with performing MSA on a needed basis.
  • Lead Metrology continuous improvement.
  • Work with Plant Quality Engineer to support customer complaints, escalations, and excursions.
  • Perform OCAP for customer ship to control limits.
  • Support plant quality and customer quality with Customer requests and FAs.
  • Support CQE with Customer PCS reviews.
  • Support NPD with release to manufacturing and training.
  • Own BCP for metrology and manufacturing tools.
  • Lead excursions in the production line, and communicate to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Follow change control requirements.

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar related engineering field, or equivalent work experience.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma theory and practices.
  • Experience with FMEA or other risk-based methods.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
