Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Leader to lead their Commercial Lines division in Troy, MI.
This position will manage departments and oversee the procedures and activities of all department personnel. Responsible for ensuring clients are provided continuous service. Develop a thorough knowledge of department processes, becoming a liaison between the Account Managers, the Producer, or other departments within the agency and the carriers. Resolve departmental conflicts effectively when customer or employee issues arise. Set an example for department personnel as to work ethic and attitude. Help when personnel are behind or otherwise unable to service their clients effectively. Maintain a positive attitude and help personnel when they are not meeting B&B standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for department procedures and overseeing their completion.
Responsible for evenly distributing workloads between department personnel.
Knowledge of Quality Control Compliance standards for the department
Responsible for overseeing that B&B standards are continuously met within the department.
Assist personnel when they are behind or need training.
Set an example as to what is expected concerning procedures and attitude.
Ensure that personnel are fully trained and competent in their positions, helping when one falls short of a goal.
Let employees know when they fall short of expectations and when they are doing well. Keep personnel motivated.
Maintain consistency within department.
Set goals for employees to better themselves.
Pursues a course of personal and professional development.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
High School diploma or GED
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Property & Casualty License
5 or more years of experience in a similar position
Preferred:
Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or financial-related discipline.
Insurance designation (i.e. CISR, CIC, ARM)
10 or more years of experience in a similar position
