What you'll do as the Direct Sourcing Category Manager:
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key categories used to manufacture our products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost reduction targets, and quality requirements
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers, and manage supplier relationships to establish strategic partnerships
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to optimize cost, quality, and delivery while monitoring the execution of tactical buyers to ensure they are aligned with sourcing strategy and contracts
Streamline processes, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency
Implement cost reduction initiatives, negotiate favorable terms, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance
Drive supplier improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues promptly
Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to ensure continuity of supply
Develop and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements
What you need to become the Direct Sourcing Category Manager:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or a related field, OR 3-5+ years of equivalent experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
Demonstrated experience in managing sourcing and procuring materials for industrial commodities with strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost savings and favorable supplier agreements
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office suite
