Job Description:

This role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, optimizing performance, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and working on continuous improvement initiatives.

The Technical Maintenance Leader must build a culture of trust, respect and accountability across the workplace. The Technical Maintenance Leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Reports to: Plant Leader Span of Control: 9 direct reports

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Live the Safety standard, adhere to the safety responsibilities • Provide a safe and secure work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors • Allocates resource requirements and investments required to achieve zero injuries, including systems, focused programs and leadership • Ensures a clear and effective measurement system is followed and used to drive results; rewards and celebrates safe behavior and achievements; ensures accountability Equipment Development • Develop new equipment and machinery to meet production needs and improve existing processes. • Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for new equipment and modifications • Plan and oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems. • Ensure proper integration of new equipment with exiting systems and processes. Manage Maintenance Function • Prepare capital budget forecasts, plans, scope and cost estimates for plant improvements • Oversee installation, repair and maintenance of plant machinery. • Coordinate preventative and predictive maintenance. • Identify and drive continuous improvement efforts through standardized work to cut cost and improve productivity and quality • Set clear and measurable expectations, in line with plant goals; proactively analyzes and manages all relative performance metrics • Effectively communicate goals and objectives • Prepares budgets relative to capital expenditures, manpower, production, and space forecasting necessary to meet customer demands • Operate with zero environmental non-conformities to applicable company, government and regulatory policies • Build an environment that develops and improves serving our customer Develop a positive employee relations environment • Ensures a positive, creative, diverse and collaborative work environment where employees own the success of the business • Establish an engaged workforce characterized by mutual trust, open communications, teamwork, and recognition 2 | Page Lead and develop talent • Create an environment where talent is developed, and their full potential is realized • Invest in the growth and development of direct reports • Maintain documentation, track, counsel and execute coaching and corrective action when performance issues occur Lead across the plant • Drive alignment between plant departments • Share best practices, challenge thinking and provide candid and respectful feedback; set an example for the organization of how teamwork and partnerships should work • Be seen as a great leader across the plant, driving engagement and supporting cross-functional projects and teams. • Assist the plant leader with other duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline • Proven experience in equipment engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and automation systems. • Proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools. • A minimum of three years' experience in leading people in a manufacturing environment • Exposure to cross-functional team leadership or participation Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Utilizing data and data collection systems, and Six Sigma methods for problem-solving and decisionmaking to eliminate manufacturing losses and unnecessary costs • Creating and implementing strategic and operations plans • Knowledge of TPM preventive maintenance pillar • Leading and motivating peers, managers and subordinates • Effective with verbal and written communication • Business and Financial acumen • Understands that all business opportunities start with knowledge of how to create value for customers. • Strong planning, resourcing and delegation skills • Able to engage and care for others starting with safety • Able to achieve results fast both individually and through team
