With an opportunity to work remotely or out of one of our three locations in Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX, the Senior Strategist is a dynamic thinker who brings a broad business perspective and deep understanding of consumer behavior to the art of brand positioning, consumer validation, and brand architecture. This highly effective, results-oriented brand champion plays an active role in conducting design research, developing insights, framing a brand personality and following trends that will influence the outcome of our brand design initiatives.
REPSPONSIBILITIES:
Design focused strategy that works closely with our designers to create brand identity, packaging and design projects that drive demand with the right audiences
Help define the right audiences and dig into their core behaviors, needs and habits, identifying opportunities where our design can better meet their needs
Collaborate on proposals, pitches, and strategic thought leadership initiatives
Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to create and refine brand positioning for various consumer brand and retail clients
Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to uncover actionable insights.
Synthesize research findings into clear, compelling, and actionable inputs.
Audit and analyze competitor strategies to inform brand and design opportunities for clients.
Craft brand positioning led strategies that define a brand's personality, narrative, audience segment, vision, and potential
Lead brand architecture and portfolio strategy projects for clients
Develop creative briefs that inspire clients and creative teams alike
Proactively identify new opportunities for client growth, and enforce processes and best practices across all engagements
Perform other duties from time-to-time to meet the changing needs of the agency

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in account planning and/or strategic brand planning, with an emphasis on consumer research, brand design, retail or CPG branding, consumer behavior, etc.
Strong understanding of brand identity development, consumer packaging or private label packaging
Proven experience in developing brand positioning and conducting consumer research.
Experience working collaboratively across internal creative teams
Excellent analytical, research, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in using research tools and methodologies.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently in a deadline-driven process
Detail-oriented with strong project management and organizational skills
Relocation to Minneapolis, MN is not required

Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $95,000 to $99,000 based on variations in knowledge, skills, experience and market conditions.
