Scope of Services: We are seeking a qualified candidate to support network operations and projects. Responsibilities include:
Specify, configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot local area network hardware and software (routers, switches, cabling, firewalls, security appliances, wireless access points, circuits, and Internet service).
Perform performance tuning and escalate problems to vendors as needed.
Provide proactive network support, including daily review of device and security logs, traffic monitoring, intrusion protection systems, and data center environment support.
Maintain a secure network by developing access standards and monitoring usage.
Configure and deploy Cisco, Dell, Fortinet, and Palo Alto infrastructure devices.
Manage the lifecycle of network infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate MUST have:
A completed bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technology-focused field.
3+ years of experience in designing and managing cloud-based network infrastructure.
5+ years of experience in network administration and support within a Microsoft server environment.
5+ years of experience configuring and maintaining network switches, VLANs, routers, and firewalls.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within a government organization.
Background in help desk or technology-oriented fields.
Knowledge of Software-Defined Network (SDWAN), Local Area Networks (LANs), Wireless LANs (WLANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs).
Familiarity with Cisco security suite/tools, VPNs, network monitoring, and system backup.
Enterprise (global) Active Directory administration in a Multi-Domain Architecture.
Required/Preferred Certifications:
CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional)
CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) required OR
