Description: Manufacturing Process Engineer - North Augusta, SC
An $500+ Million Manufacturing Company in the North Augusta, SC area is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for their state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing facility. The position will report to the Plant Manager and will be a part of the salaried engineering staff.
Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 base salary + 5% bonus, 100% Medical Benefits paid, 401k match of up to 50% of 6% of compensation, Dental, Vision, PTO.
Job Description:
Analyze, develop, and coordinate manufacturing process instructions for polymer extrusion processes to create medical tubing. Confer with production planning and product design staff concerning product design, tooling, and workforce training.
Design and evaluate new existing lay-out, product flow, fixtures and equipment, test methods, and standards supporting a LEAN manufacturing environment.
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow, and designs lay-out of equipment workspace for maximum efficiency.
Identify production constraints and bottlenecks; and recommend methods to eliminate.
Utilize SPC to refine methods, improve quality, and increase through-put.
Provide input on creative ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
Develop labor hours for all products as a baseline for continuous improvement projects.
Identify and recommend manufacturing technologies to strategically develop business objectives.
Manage large- and small-scale manufacturing projects to include project timelines, capital requests and budget responsibility.
Experience Preferred:
B.S. in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Polymer, Electrical, Manufacturing, or other Engineering or STEM degree.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems or Lean Certification preferred.
Project management experience.
Value Stream mapping, 5s/6s, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action, etc.
SPC software (Minitab/InfinityQS), OEE tracking (RedZone, Epicor, DELMIAworks).
Oracle, SAP, or other ERP, CMMS, Manufacturing execution systems.
Design, AutoCAD, Solid Works, 3D modeling, Equipment/Machine reliability, PLC programming/troubleshooting.
Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft SSRS, Microsoft Project or other reporting/dashboard/data analytics tools.
ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949, or other similar quality standards/management systems.
