Responsible for coordinating all property/auto insurance and workers compensation insurance claims between adjusters and project team, including, as needed, project legal teams
Participates in the review and action of claims.
Assists in evaluating and negotiating with the adjuster and assigned counsel
Participates and coordinates onboarding of new subcontractors and vendors to ensure they have the appropriate insurance in place, that the required COIs have been submitted and tracks COIs to ensure that expired COIs are secured.
Investigates and resolves third party claims, as may be assigned
Develops and maintains a calendar of key dates related to terms and milestones for claims.
Performs special projects as required.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned which may include participation in drafting or responding to claims to/from subcontractors or vendors.
Strong organizational skills and very detail oriented
Strong communication (written and oral skills required). Ability to translate insurance terms into everyday terms necessary.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree risk management or related field; degree in construction or related field with demonstrated experience in risk management will also be considered.
5+ years of experience, minimum of 3 years in the heavy civil construction industry.
