Job Description Summary



The Raw Product Grader performs quality attribute tests on raw product. Process Lead operates the Process Area while ensuring personal and co-worker safety to produce food-safe formed potato products that meet or exceed customer expectations at budgeted rates processing standards and techniques. The Lead also directs and coordinates other personal reporting to the area to ensure all tasks are completed timely, accurately and in the best interests of the Company. These include trimmers, packaging operators and GL's.



Job Description



  • Record data and distribute reports regarding test results

  • Set up and calibrate lab equipment

  • Effectively present information in on-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees

  • Change fryer oil in lab fryer

  • Meet sensory demands of tasting, smelling, feeling, and seeing

  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractures, and decimals

  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs




Basic & Preferred Qualifications




Education and/or Experience



High school diploma or equivalent is required.


Experience desired, but not required.



Language Skills



Ability to speak, read and write in English is required.


Must be able to communicate well, understand and comprehend verbal & written instructions.



Mathematical Skills



Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using a calculator.


Must be able to use and understand basic math and have minimal mechanical ability.



Computer Skills



Ability to use Microsoft Suite including; Word, PowerPoint and Excel.


Ability to enter data, draft emails and make presentations if needed.


Must know or have the ability to learn internal computer programs and operating systems.



Physical Demands



Must be able to stand for long periods of time.


Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.


Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.



Work Environment



Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.


Must be able to work in all environments such as; hot, cold, wet or dry.


Must be able to safely use chemicals required for cleaning.
