Environmental Intern at Amsted Rail in Granite City, Illinois

Job Description:

Environmental Intern

This position will assist facility Environmental Engineer with day-to-day activities that include inspections, data collection and reporting associated with environmental permits and applicable regulations. In addition, this person will assist Director - Environmental Services with special projects that include EHS software improvements and remote support for other Amsted Rail facilities. The intern session will run May 2024 through August 2024.

Qualifications:

• Majoring in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science

• Strong interpersonal skills


• Excellent communication skills


• Ability to work from written or verbal instructions


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
